ConvaTec's Esteem synergy closed-end ostomy pouches are designed for one time usage.  This ostomy bag is ideal for every day use, special occasions or for intimate moments.  The Esteem synergy ostomy system features advanced filter system designed to absorb and neutralize odor from flatulence and intestinal gas.  Four slits on the filter with removable stickers allow for individual control over the speed of the gas release.  

If the skin around your stoma is uneven from scars, crevices, or indentations, you can use ConvaTec's Stomahesive Paste 183910.  Also, to provide added protection to the peristomal skin from output, you can try their Eakin Cohesive Seals 839002. 

Do you have red, excoriated peristomal skin? Have you tried a skin barrier film protectant before? If both answers are yes, then you might consider trying 3m's Cavilon No Sting Barrier Wipes #3344.

    Love the low profile but filter leaks

    I have been wearing these bags since I became a permanent wearer of colostomy bags in 2012. I liked the old design better as the bags were kidney shaped and longer. They also had round large filters that occasionally leaked. Then they back ordered them for a very long time almost a year and I had to find a whole different product. I recently came back to these bags because of there low profile. But I have found they shortened the bags, made the filters smaller and they leak a lot more then the old ones. They also only give 30 bags when before you got 60 bags per box. For near the same price. The only reason I am staying with them for now is because the flange sold separately are low profile and no hard plastic. Much more comfortable and doesn’t show through yours clothes. Now if they would go back to the larger bags and better filters.
