Brava Protective Sheets

Coloplast Brava Protective Sheets are solid skin barrier sheets made of hydrocolloid used to protect sensitive peristomal skin.  Able to be cut, molded, and formed to apply around the stoma to protect the surrounding skin and also makes a great surface for adhesion.  Stoma output and too much moisture under the adhesive may cause skin irritation.  The Skin Barrier Cream #12000 soothes irritated skin and moisturizes dry skin. For additional protection of the skin use a Brava Protective Sheet before applying the next base plate.  Brava Protective Sheets are used to protect irritated skin from output.

Step By Step Guide On How To Use Brava Protective Sheets

1. Remove the protective backing from the non-adhesive side of the sheet (bend at split-line and remove protective backing).
2. Mark the desired hole size with a pen.
3. With a pair of scissors, cut out the desired hole size according to the marking.
4. Clean and dry skin around the stoma. Remove the protective backing from the adhesive side.
5. Place the sticky side of the sheet on the skin and press firmly with your fingers. The elasticity of the sheet allows the hole to widen when it is put in place, e.g. over a stoma. It reacts immediately, ensuring a completely snug fit around the stoma.
