Gauze

Gauze pads, dressings and rolls are commonly used despite the wound type. Gauze can be used as a simple wipe or by a doctor as soaked gauze to dress and pack an open surgical wound or cavity.  Wounds can be superficial or deep as well as the amount of wound exudate present.  Gauze is a traditional tool used by most for treatment of wounds.  Gauze dressings available have vary by size and thickness.
