ParSORB™ Ileostomy Absorbent Gel Packets, P2001-100 (100/btl)
- Ref# P2001-100
- 100 packets per package
- The ostomy absorbent used in colostomy and ileostomy pouches everywhere. Simply place a packet in the pouch after emptying and the liquid contents will be absorbed in minutes!
- The essential companion for every person with an ileostomy. ParSORB turns loose and sloshy ostomy pouch contents into gel making it easier to manage and empty.
- Made in the USA.
ParSORB absorbent gel packets are designed to absorb ileostomy pouch contents. ParSORB granules are non-toxic and are packaged within a disssolvable (water soluble) film packet. To use, just drop the intact packet into the ostomy pouch each time the ostomy pouch is emptied or cleansed. As the pouch begins to fill, the packet dissolves and ParSORB super absorbent granules become a semi-solid gel that keeps pouch contents away from the stoma. The gel also helps eliminate pouch noise and makes ostomy pouch contents easy to empty. The result is an increase in confidence and convenience for the wearer of the ostomy pouch.
One-piece drainable appliances: Users simply drop the ParSORB packet into the pouch through the tail, then seal the tail.
Two-piece drainable appliances: Users simply drop the ParSORB packet into the ostomy pouch through the flange before attaching the pouch.
ParSORB Absorbent Gel Packets were developed to promote patient confidence and support an active lifestyle for colostomates and ileostomates. Noise and peristomal irritation are among the top concerns of ileostomy patients. The super absorbent material in ParSORB gel packets transforms liquid into a semi-solid gel which keeps the liquid contents away from the stoma, reduces sloshing and pouch noise, and makes the pouch easier to empty.
In a survey (conducted by Parthenon) of new patients who tried this product, 80% rated ParSORB "effective" to "very effective" in its ability to keep pouch contents away from the stoma, improve convenience and user confidence, and eliminate pouch noise.

great product
Love the product but still needs to make sure the packets are sealed I still get unsealed packets to where the crystals are loose in bottom of container. They are good for me when I have to go to the doctor and anywhere else I just pack a few packets and it works great for me

Never go without this great product.
I use this product every time I empty my pouch. Absorbs all liquid. No liquid sloshing in my pouch. When my output is liquid this product somewhat thickens the output and keeps it in the bottom of the pouch and away from the stoma. Therefore lessoning the risk of leaking. Also if you were to experience a leak, the output would be thicker and easier to deal with.

Great Product
I have found these to be very effective absorbent packets that I use on certain occasions, such as traveling out of the country. There are times when I have a runny ileostomy and a bathroom may not be readily available. So I use two packets at a time, and this does a great job in reducing the liquid content, which reduces the immediate need for a bathroom.

Tips
For a good iliostomy absorption 2 gel packets are needed. In every container 1 or 2 packet are empty.

Excellent absorbent product
I have a runny ileostomy so I've found that dropping a packet into the pouch just before turning in for bedtime helps to keep the liquid output away from the stoma and extends itchy-free wear.

help!
It seems to work but not all the time. If I was to turn my bag upside down it would be all over the place. It is better than total liquid but it is not really gelling like when I put it in water in aplastic bag. Not sure why! Thsnks
