The BobTail Urostomy Drain Tube Adapter

 The BobTail™ is an attachment for accessory for urostomy pouches that helps make emptying your bag more efficient throughout the day. It is constructed from medical-grade plastics and rubber to support reliable performance. For best results, we recommend cleaning the BobTail™ at the end of each day by flushing the system with water.

GV Solutions LLC guarantees the BobTail™ drain for up to 12 days of use. Use beyond this period may lead to product failure. When inserting the BobTail™ into a urostomy pouch, avoid excessive force or twisting, as this may compromise the connection and void the guarantee.

Instructions on How To Use The BobTail Device:

• CONNECT: Attach the BobTail™ drain to your bag or pouch by gently pushing and twisting the connector (A) into the bag’s drain outlet.
• WEAR: The BobTail™ drain may be worn throughout the day if desired. Position it horizontally so it can easily be accessed through the zipper, or store it in the provided pouch until needed.
• DRAIN: Pull out the BobTail™, remove the cap (D), and open the valve (B) by pushing it away from your body. Empty the bag while standing or sitting, into a bottle or toilet.
• RETURN: Once empty, pull the valve (B) toward your body to close it, replace the cap (D), and return the drain inside your clothing or to the provided pouch.
• CLEAN: Clean the BobTail™ drain daily using soap and water. Allow it to dry completely before reuse.
• REPLACE: Replace the BobTail™ drain every 14 days with a new device.

How big is the BobTail device?

Think of an appropriately sized, very light, flexible section of a tubing with an easy on/off valve and a leakage protection cap at the discharging end.

How to use the BobTail device?

Rather than manipulating the pouch into a position to empty, then maneuvering oneself to initiate emptying, the Bobtail™ device is easily accessed and utilized whether it is continually attached or externally carried to be attached. It can be easily aimed into a commode, urinal or other container if travelling.

Will the BobTail device fith with my Hollister, ConvaTec, or Coloplast ostomy appliance?

Yes.  A Universal Adaptor to connect the BobTail™ device to any of the 3 bags is included. It can be moved between the different bag types as desired by the user.
