Custom Built Ostomy Pouches May Be Closer Than You Think

A small startup company called Lewcardia is raising $5,000 to develop prototypes of its ostomy pouch called Ostomy Freedom. They use a 3-D scanner to print off a custom fitted ostomy appliance. Using a smart phone, an individual will download their app to upload images of their stoma to the 3-D printer.
