Opening Cutter Tool for Ostomy Appliances

Easy to use tool for clean and consistent stoma openings in ostomy hydrocolloid barriers and flanges. The clear plastic handle allows you to view where you cut, blade is made of steel.  Please note this is meant to cut through a gelatinous substance only (a.k.a. skin barrier hydrocolloid like material), not paper or plastic. It’s also reusable.

Directions: Cuts should be made on a cutting board. Best cuts are achieved standing over cutter, pressing in a circular motion on the edges of the cutter blade. To remove  excess material out of handle, push through small handle opening.

    This product makes life simpler than the scissors I have been using for almost a year. Even my wife, who has arthritis in both hands, finds this cutter easy. I generally cut enough barriers to have one available for those sudden needs. I use an inexpensive cutting board under the barrier and cut one in just under a minute without strain. At almost 70, this is greatly appreciated!

    I was at the site to purchase a Nu-Hope cutter, Parthenon has the best price, but I saw this cutter and liked the design better. The only thing that could make it better would be an oncluded length of plastic to slide into a pouch as a cutting board. :)

    would have been a higher rating had the handle displayed on website had come with it. Product not easy to use without it. Also, blade not as sharp as expected.
