Easy to use tool for clean and consistent stoma openings in ostomy hydrocolloid barriers and flanges. The clear plastic handle allows you to view where you cut, blade is made of steel. Please note this is meant to cut through a gelatinous substance only (a.k.a. skin barrier hydrocolloid like material), not paper or plastic. It’s also reusable.

Directions: Cuts should be made on a cutting board. Best cuts are achieved standing over cutter, pressing in a circular motion on the edges of the cutter blade. To remove excess material out of handle, push through small handle opening.

didn’t come with handle

would have been a higher rating had the handle displayed on website had come with it. Product not easy to use without it. Also, blade not as sharp as expected.

Stoma hole cutter - worth it!

It is so much simpler and quicker to use the stoma hole cutter (once your stoma has stopped changing size) than to use scissors, even those specially designed ostomy scissors. You get a perfectly round, smooth edge hole in just seconds. Works best when you place the wafer on a non-slip, silicon cutting mat to eliminate accidentally moving the wafer/cutter as you press down and rotate the cutter.

Stoma Hole Cutter Tool is well worth the price and is easy to use. It takes seconds to cut a perfectly round hole as oppose to many minutes using scissors, No more looking for glasses, template, pen, and scissors. I calculate that I have spent over 40 hours cutting irregular shaped holes in barrier flanges during the past 41 years.

So much easier and faster than scissors plus you get a perfectly round hole every time with the cutout having no sharp points. The only negative is that it does take a bit of pressure to cut the hole.

This product is the easiest tool to utilize for cutting a hole in the flange/barrier. Well worth the price. Ease of use, control, comfortable in the hand, perfect circular cut are a few of the attributes of this tool.
