Indicated for exuding wounds that are colonized or infected, and contain slough or debris including venous stasis ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, traumatic wounds and dehisced surgical wounds.

IODOSORB Cadexomer Iodine Gel is designed with cadexomer beads that absorb slough, soft necrotic tissue and exudate. As the bead absorbs fluid, the broad spectrum antimicrobial activity of 0.9% iodine is released for up to 72 hours. IODOFLEX has been shown to prevent and disrupt mature biofilm in vitro.

When applied to the wound, it cleans it by absorbing fluids, removing pus and debris and forming a moist gel over the wound surface. As IODOSORB swells in situ the active iodine is released, killing resident micro-organisms in the wound site and changing color.
